Matan Gabay Eliminated in 7th Place ($11,443)

Level 19 : Blinds 0/0, 12,000 ante
Matan Gabay
Matan Gabay

Matan Gabay moved all in for his last 301,000 from under the gun and received a call from Wai Kiat Lee. Thai Ha then raised all in, covering both players. Lee made the fold and Gabay was heads up and at risk against Ha.

Matan Gabay: KJ
Thai Ha: KK

Gabay was in bad shape, having only runner outs on the 7QQ flop. The 8 turn left him drawing dead and after the 8 river hit he became the first casualty of the final table while Ha collected his chips, narrowing the gap between him and chip leader David Prociak.

Lee Doubles Through Laplante

Level 19 : Blinds 0/0, 12,000 ante

With four limps in front of him, David Prociak checked his option on the button.

On a flop of K68, action checked to Ryan Laplante in middle position who bet out for 100,000, to which Wai Kiat Lee in the hijack moved all in for 427,000. Every other player opted to fold while Laplante made the call.

Wai Kiat Lee: 97
Ryan Laplante: KQ

Danny Tang on Lee's rail called for an ace, but seemed equally delighted at the sight of the 10 on the turn. The river fell the 10 and Lee found the full double.

James Fights Back

Level 18 : Blinds 0/0, 10,000 ante

Thai Ha limped under the gun, as did David Prociak to his left. Robert James raised from middle position to 120,000 and only Prociak continued.

The flop of A7Q checked through to the 9 on the turn. Prociak checked again and James moved all in for approximately 800,000. Prociak seemed bewildered by the bet. After spending some time in the tank, Prociak decided to fold.

Ha Puts Laplante to the Test

Level 18 : Blinds 0/0, 10,000 ante

Wai Kiat Lee limped in from under the gun as did Thai Ha from early position and Robert James from middle position. Ryan Laplante checked his option on the button.

The flop came 1077. Lee checked, Ha bet 50,000 and James folded. Laplante raised it up to 175,000, folding out Lee while Ha made the call.

Both players checked the A turn leading to the 9 river. Ha bet 670,000, putting Laplante deep into the tank.

After roughly four minutes Laplante said "It would be a pretty good bluff," and folded his cards, allowing Ha to take down a decent pot without showdown.

Straight Over Straight

Level 18 : Blinds 0/0, 10,000 ante

David Prociak limped in from early position, as did Robert James on his direct left and Moses Alosh in the hijack. Wai Kiat Lee checked his option on the button.

The flop of 810A checked through to the 7 on the turn. The action was checked to Alosh, who bet out for 85,000. Only Prociak and James called.

The K on the river prompted Prociak to lead out for 170,000. James folded and Alosh snap-called.

David Prociak: J9
Moses Alosh: 9x6x

Both players had turned a straight. Alosh with the bottom end had to concede the pot to Prociak.

James Comes out on Top of Family Pot

Level 18 : Blinds 0/0, 10,000 ante

Wai Kiat Lee limped in from under the gun, as did Thai Ha and David Prociak from early position, Robert James from middle position, Matan Gabay from the hijack and Moses Alosh from the cutoff. Ryan Laplante opted to check from the button.

The flop came J96. Action checked around to Prociak, who bet 80,000, receiving calls from James and Alosh while folding out the other four players.

On the 6 turn, Prociak bet again for 140,000 and James moved all in for approximately 590,000, forcing folds from Alosh and Prociak to take down a nice pot uncontested.
