Merron Bets River and Takes It Down
Dustin Goldklang raised to 160,000 from late position only to see Matthew Parry announce a pot-sized three-bet to 570,000 from the cutoff.
Kyle Merron cold-called from the small blind and Goldklang called as well to take all three players to the 7♠2♣9♣ flop.
All three players checked to see the 5♦ hit the turn. Action checked through once more and the 9♥ fell on the river.
Merron paused before counting out chips and sliding a bet of 850,000 into the middle. Goldklang quickly folded but Parry was far less eager to release his hand.
After a few minutes of thought, Parry did eventually release his hand, much to the apparent relief of Merron who seemed very happy to take the pot down having apparently been bluffing, although he never exposed his cards.
