Level 34 : 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
James Anderson
James Anderson

On a heads-up flop of 1047, Zlatin Penev had bet 600,000 but then James Anderson check-raised to 1,700,000. After some thought, Penev made the call and the two went to the turn Q.

Anderson continued his aggression and led out for 3,600,000 but Penev still made the call to see the river fall the 8.

After tanking for about 20 seconds, Anderson assembled some chips and slid out a bet of 7,700,000 and now it was Penev's turn to think.

After a good while, he slowly slid in his cards and the huge pot was awarded to Anderson, resuming the chip lead over Penev with almost 28,000,000.

Sorgatto Scores a Double

Level 33 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

After an open by James Anderson to 600,000, short-stacked Diego Vaz Sorgatto moved all in for a total of 2,275,000.

The action folded back around to Anderson who made the call to put Sorgatto at risk.

Diego Vaz Sorgatto: K9
James Anderson: AQ

Although Sorgatto was behind at the start, the flop of K85 quickly changed things as he paired his king to take the lead. The J on the turn did improve Anderson to a gutshot straight draw, but the river 3 was a blank and Sorgotto scored the double.
