Day 1b of Event #77: $777 Lucky 7's No-Limit Hold'em is Bound to be Action Packed
Welcome to Day 1b of Event #77: $777 Lucky 7’s No-Limit Hold’em (7 Handed) which kicks off at 10 a.m. local time at the 2023 World Series of Poker at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas.
With 2,265,000 chips to his name, Chase Blanton managed to finish in the lead at the end of Day 1a on Friday. Only 64 players of the 1,470 entry field managed to survive and bag for Day 2. It will be essential for new and returning players to dodge a lot of bullets to advance to Day 2, but it's well worth it; this tournament offers a guaranteed $777,777 prize for the winner.
Just like Day 1a, players begin with a starting stack of 40,000 and blinds at 100/200/200. Levels are 30-minutes in duration with a 20-minute break every four levels and a 75-minute dinner break after Level 12 (approximately 7 p.m.). There will be 22 levels played before chips are bagged for the night and late registration is available until the end of Level 12 (approximately 5 p.m.). As well, this tournament is unique in that players are allowed unlimited re-entry on all three Day 1 flights and payouts begin on Day 1.
The survivors of all Day 1 flights will return on Monday, July 10, at 10 a.m. for Day 2. Levels will extend to 40-minutes long and blinds will resume at Level 23, blinds 20,000/40,000 with a 40,000 big blind ante.
