Tedeschi Gets a Near Double-Up

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Paul Tedeschi opened for 1,300 from late position and was called by a player in the cutoff. The button then three-bet to 3,600, forcing the blinds out but getting calls from Tedeschi and the late-position player.

Action checked to the button on a flop of 968 and he continued for 12,000. Tedeschi made the call while the late position player, after some thought, got out of the way.

The J turn saw Tedeschi lead out, first attempting to move all in before being told the maximum he could bet was 36,100. That left Tedeschi with only a few chips behind but his opponent just called rather than getting it all in.

Tedeschi did move the remainder of his stack into the middle after the J river completed the board. Despite the small amount needed to make the call, the button player decided he could not be winning and mucked to hand Tedeschi a near double-up.
