Event #7: $1,500 Limit Hold'em begins today at 2:00 p.m. local time inside the Paris Las Vegas Hotel and Casino.

The three-day event will begin play with a starting stack of 25,000, with fifteen 40-minute levels and a fifteen-minute break every three levels. The first level will be 100-200 blinds and 200-400 limits. Late registration will be open for the first nine levels, and is expected to end at approximately 8:45 p.m. local time.

Last year Michael Moncek won the event, adding his first bracelet to three WSOP Circuit Rings, and $145,856 to his $235,000 lifetime earnings. Remarkably, it was his first time playing limit hold ‘em as he bested a field of 522, including bracelet winner Yueqi Zhu and 2015 WSOP Main Event winner Joe McKeehen on his way to the title.

“It feels awesome, especially in a game that I’ve never played before,” Moncek said following his win. “I’m going to have to learn to play it now.” It shows that at the World Series of Poker, anything can happen, and anyone can make their dreams of winning a bracelet come true.

Previous winners include Yuval Bronshtein, David “ODB” Baker, and Robert Nehorayan.

Coverage begins today at 2:00 p.m. local time and PokerNews will be following along and providing live updates and chip counts throughout the day.
