David "ODB" Baker limped in from the small blind and Alex Livingston called from the big blind. Livingston took one and Baker took two. Baker checked and then folded when Livingston bet 250,000.

On the next hand, Livingston limped in from the small blind and Chris Brewer rased to 240,000 from the big blind. Livingston went all in for 1,775,000 and Brewer gave it a moment of thought before he gave it up to send Livingston another pot.

Brewer Bets His Nines

Chris Brewer raised to 210,000 from the small blind and David "ODB" Baker called from the big blind. Both players drew one.

Brewer fired 350,000 after the draw and turned over a pair of nines when Baker called. Baker showed 10x9x8x3x2x to take the pot with a ten-nine.

Global Poker Summer Series IV Will Feature Four Main Events

Following a successful Grand Prix Turbo Series Montreal earlier this month, Global Poker announced that it will run the Summer Series IV right in time for all of the summer's poker action.

The Summer Series IV will take place June 26-July 9 and will feature several Gold and Sweeps Coins events. The series will have GC 630,000,000 in total prizes guaranteed and 28 Gold Coin trophies and SC 1,260,000 in total prizes guaranteed and 28 Sweeps Coin trophies.

The biggest draw of the series will be the GC and SC Main Events on July 9, which will feature respective guarantees of GC 630,000,000 and SC 1,260,000 across four events. The Prog Bounty, Super Deep Main Events will kicks things off before the regular Super Deep Main Events later in the evening.

David "ODB" Baker raised to 125,000 from the button before Chris Brewer shoved 2,115,000 from the big blind. Baker thought it over for a few moments and he put out a stack of chips to call.

Both players stood pat and Brewer turned over 9x7x5x4x2x to score a double with the #26. Baker flashed the losing hand and tossed it in the muck.

Meanwhile, Alex Livingston has picked up a few chips.

Baker Gains Chips Early

David "ODB" Baker raised to 150,000 and Chris Brewer called from the big blind. Brewer drew one and Baker drew two. After the draw, Brewer bet 100,000 and turned over Jx9x8x7x5x when Baker called. Baker mucked the losing hand.

On the next hand, Brewer limped in from the small blind and Baker checked from the big blind. Brewer drew one and Baker drew three. Brewer fired 210,000 but Baker raised to 750,000 and sent the collegiate runner into the tank. After a few moments of thought, Brewer called and Baker turned over 8x5x6x4x2x to take the pot.

"I thought nine was good," Brewer said as he mucked the losing hand.

Welcome to Day 4 of Event #69: $10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw Lowball Championship at the 2023 World Series of Poker. Cards go in the air at 1 p.m. local time at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas for this fourth and final day of lowball action.

A field of 154 entries turned out and created a $1,432,200 prize pool, from which today’s winner will take home $367,599 and a WSOP gold bracelet.

It could be the second gold bracelet of the series for both Chris Brewer and David “ODB” Baker. Brewer won his first-ever title in the $250,000 Super High Roller and Baker won his third in the $1,500 Razz event. The third player returning, Canada’s Alex Livingston, is looking for his second career title after a near miss in the $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. event earlier this summer.

Baker will return with the lead, with Brewer in second, and Livingston is the short stack with just over 30 big blinds.

Players will return in Level 24 with blinds at 30,000/60,000 with a 90,000 big blind ante. Levels will increase every 90 minutes throughout Day 4 until a winner is declared.
