Event #68: $1,000 Super Turbo Bounty No-Limit Hold'em has Arrived

Event #68: $1,000 Super Turbo Bounty No-Limit Hold'emis slated to start at 12:00 p.m. local time at the 2023 World Series of Poker, hosted by Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. For those without the patience for multi-day tournaments, this is the event for them. Players will receive a $300 bounty for every player they eliminate. Late registration will be open for the first ten levels and will end at approximately 4 p.m. local time.

Last year's winner, Ramsey Stovall, was given the day off by his boss to play the event and parlayed it into his first gold bracelet and a cool $191,223. It's impossible to say how long this year's event will take to play to a conclusion but it was 15 hours of play last year. Only time will tell if Stovall will be back to defend his title.

A total of 2,227 entries made their way into the event in 2022 and the way the 2023 WSOP has been going, it would be no surprise to get a number 10-20 percent higher than that for this year's iteration. Everything from casual poker players to main event winners have played this event in the past and would be no surprise to see the same again.

Blinds will be starting at 100/100 with a 100 big blind ante and entrants will be given 20,000 in chips for their tournament life. The structure calls for 20-minute levels and players will be given a break every six levels with a dinner break expected to be around 8:00 p.m. local time. Late registration is available for ten levels, until about 4 p.m. Reentries are not allowed, so this is a freezeout.
