Okamoto Takes One to Abraham

Shiina Okamoto raised to 325,000 with KJ and Tamar Abraham opted to call in the big blind with 108 in her hands.

The flop revealed 745 and they both checked to see 7 pair the board on the turn. This time Abraham bet 175,000 and Okamoto called.

A Q completed the board and they checked. The pot was sent to Okamoto for two pair with king kicker.

Negreanu also offers his thoughts on the Poker Hall of Fame, including who he thinks will get in and the changes he’d like to see moving forward. Finally, “Kid Poker” offers his prediction for the 2023 WSOP Main Event, which is also the first big topic discussed by the hosts.

Chad and Jesse then do a new "Calling the Clock" segment in which they offer quick two-minute dialogues for topics on “The Board.”

Nguyen Fades the Flush

Level 30 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Shiino Okamoto raised from the button to 325,000 and Nam Nguyen immediately moved all in for 940,000. Okamoto made a quick call.

They were both dead even heading to the flop 5A5 when the flush draw came for Okamoto.

The turn brought the 6 and the river was the 2 and a relieved Nguyen received a chopped pot and faded the flush.

Dvorkin Finds the Double up

Level 30 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Tamar Abraham raised in the small blind to 380,000 and Mary Dvorkin flat called with the short stack in the big blind.

The flop came out 32J and Abraham placed a continuation bet of 500,000 and immediately Dvorkin shoved in the rest of her stack for 670,000. Abraham made the call.

Abraham was the favorite heading to the turn.

The turn came out with the 3 and the river brought a major holler from the Israeli rail as Dvorkin hit her flush with the 4 and doubled her stack.

It folded to Shiina Okamoto in the small blind who bet 400,000 with J4 in her hands. Nam Nguyen quickly made the call with K10.

The dealer showed a flop 652 and Nguyen checked to Okamoto who continued for 175,000. It was enough to make Nguyen fold and grab the pot right away.

Nguyen Raised With the Short Stack

The flop came out all mid cards 587 and Nguyen made the continuation bet all in for 1,060,000 and Okamoto made a snap fold with her Q10.

Shiina Okamoto opened in the cutoff to 250,000 with KJ and Tara Cain saw KK in her hands in the small blind and just called. Tamar Abraham three-bet to 720,000 in the big blind, holding AQ and it folded back to Cain who announced all in for a total stack worth 1,545,000.

After some thinking, Abraham made the call to see she had the dominated hand.

The board brought some hopes for a double to cain with 6989, but an A showed up on the river to give the win to Abraham and bust Cain.

Cain, who finished in 6th place of the WSOP Ladies Event in 2018, has now accomplished another deep run with a 5th place finish for a prize of $34,679.
