A Couple of Hands at Table #138
On a river reading 5♣4♠9♦2♣5♠, with two checks in front of him, the late position player bet 12,000 which extracted a guffaw from Eric "Barstool Nate" Nathan as he folded. Evgenii Fidchuk, however, did make the call and showed the 3♠6♠ without waiting for his opponent to show, prompting the late position player to launch their hand into the muck.
The very next hand Punnat Punsri raised in late position to 1,600 and was called by Nathan in the small blind, and Maria Ho in the big blind.
The flop rolled off the 2♠9♥5♥ and all three players tapped the table, prompting the 4♣ to roll off the deck.
Again, Nathan checked and this time Ho was the one to bet, to the tune of 4,000 which was then raised to 12,200 by Punsri. Nathan quickly folded.
Ho took some time with her decision and settled on a call. Heads up, they saw a river of the 4♣. Ho checked and Punsri assembled a pseudo all-in bet, just leaving himself one chip behind.
Ho was slow to release but did slide her hand forward, awarding the pot to Punsri.
