Hollander Wary of Malboubi

Level 25 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Jinhua Li raised to 110,000 from early position and was called by Josef Hollander in the cutoff and big blind Rassoul Malboubi.

The flop came 88K and action checked to Hollander who tossed out a bet of 200,000. Malboubi called while Li got out of the way.

Both players checked the 7 turn before Malboubi led out for another 200,000 on the 6 river. Hollander quickly called.

Malboubi showed KJ, but Hollander had him out-kicked with KQ to take the pot.

"That eight scared me," Hollander said.

Always Coming Seven for Malboubi in Massive All In

Level 25 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Rassoul Malboubi
Rassoul Malboubi

Rassoul Malboubi had a raise to 325,000 in front of him before Mark Kitchens in the big blind shoved for 1,385,000.

Malboubi spent several minutes in the tank as he assembled the chips to call, uncapping his cards to take another look and recapping them before sliding in three towers of chips.

Mark Kitchens: AK
Rassoul Malboubi: 77

"Low cards," Malboubi shouted as the entire table stood up to witness the massive confrontation. The flop came QQ6 and kept him in front, but the K fell on the turn and Kitchens now began celebrating.

The river, though, spelled disaster for Kitchens as it came 7 to give Malboubi a full house and the knockout. A collective "wow" arose from the table as the players couldn't believe that Malboubi had spiked the two-outer.

"It was nice playing with all of you," a good-natured Kitchens told his tablemates as he took the bad beat in stride before heading to collect his payout.

Laird Runs Into Wallace's Aces

Level 25 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Scott Laird was all in from the big blind for around 500,000 and up against Richard Wallace under the gun.

Scott Laird: AQ
Richard Wallace: AA

Wallace hit the last ace in the deck on the A57 flop to make top set and leave Laird already drawing dead.

The board ran out 48 and Laird was eliminated.

"His name is Lucky," another tablemate said about Wallace.

"Not as lucky as the gentleman sitting over there," Wallace joked, pointing back at him.

Level 25 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Matthew Shihadeh was all in for around 615,000 from the big blind and up against Mitch Garshofsky on the button.

Matthew Shihadeh: KK

Mitch Garshofsky: A8
James Martini: 1010

Garshofsky had once again run into a big pair. "Where's the ace," he pleaded, but none came on the 9639Q board to send him to the rail.

Swain Takes Lengthy Pot On the Turn

Level 25 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Four players went to a flop of A1010 with already around 600,000 in the middle as action checked to Ronald Swain on the button.

Swain bet 200,000 and Kevin Danko called in the small blind, as did Rassoul Malboubi in the big blind.

The turn came the 8 and Danko and Malboubi checked again. Swain now fired out 500,000.

Danko tanked for several minutes before he folded. Malboubi then took his time before he also folded.

Three-handed on a flop of 36J, Mark Gerecke bet 300,000 from early position and James Martini called on the button.

The turn came the 6 and Gerecke now checked. Martini bet 300,000 and Gerecke responded by moving all in for 800,000. Martini snap-called.
