Event #56: $500 Salute to Warriors No-Limit Hold'em kicks off today at 10:00 a.m. local time here at the 2023 World Series of Poker. The tournament is expected to fill the halls of the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas and provides an opportunity for players to make a difference in the lives of our nation's heroes as a percentage of the buy-in goes toward veteran-related charities. This event is open to all participants and one reentry is allowed.

The 2022 version of the event drew a record-breaking field of 3,209 players with James Todd going home the winner after three days of play. That win made Todd the owner of a WSOP bracelet along with making him $161,256 richer and if the trajectory of this year's World Series of Poker thus far is any indication, we could see another massive record-setting field. This is the fourth instance of this tournament with the inaugural event having taken place in 2019.

With a $500 buy-in, $40 of which is a donation to veterans charities, this event is sure to draw players from all kinds of backgrounds who want to do their part to help while also playing for life-changing money and a coveted WSOP bracelet.

The tournament is scheduled to play out over the course of three days with 40-minute levels and a 50,000 starting stack. On Day 1, 17 levels will be played with a 75-minute dinner break scheduled after the completion of 12 levels (7:00 p.m.). Late registration will close at the start of Level 10 (about 5:00 p.m.).
