Panka Risks it All to Take it Down

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Action was caught after the flop of K24 while both the blinds checked. Late Position led out for 1,400 and both players found a call.

The turn was the 5 and the small blind quickly checked. Dominik Panka fired from the big blind for 4,500 and received a call from the late position player.

As the J completed the board, Panka jammed all in for 14,500. His opponent considered a call, but eventually folded as Panka took down the pot.

Brierton Increases her Stack

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

In a three-way raised pot, the flop showed A48 when Alexandra Brierton bet 3,200 and a player called, before the third player involved shoved for around 20,000. Brierton quickly called and the second player folded:

Brierton flipped over AK for top pair top kicker while her opponent revealed AJ. The rest of the board didn't helped the player at risk with the 7 and the 2 and Brierton earned the pot.

Ishikawa Climbs in the Counts

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Farian Ishikawa opened to 1,700 in early position and picked up calls from a player in middle position, the button and Matt Stout in the small blind.

The flop went 6QK and Ishikawa checked to the middle position player who bet 1,700. The button and Matt Stout called before Ishikawa raised it to 8,700. This time only the button called and stayed in the pot.

The turn fell the 3 and after some thinking, Ishikawa shoved for 28,100. His opponent tanked a minute and called all in with a stack around 20,000.

Ishikawa flipped over AK for top pair, while his opponent held 25. The latter didn't find any of the outs he needed on the 8 and Ishikawa took down the pot while his opponent left the event.

Big Triple Up For Cechowski

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

On the first hand after the break, a player in early position opened to 1,600. In middle position, another player min-raised to 3,200. Dylan Cechowski, from the cutoff, decided to four-bet to 7,200. The button and the blinds folded.

The action went back to the player in early position, who shoved for 25,000 chips. The middle position player re-raised all in to 31,200. With his strong hand, Cechowski had no choice but to call them.

Early position player: QQ
Middle position player: JJ
Dylan Cechowski: AK

Cechowski directly hit a king on the flop 6K7, putting him ahead in this hand. But he started to sweat when a flush draw came with the turn 8. However, the 2 didn't change anything, and Cechowski took the pot and eliminated his two opponents.

Over 10,000 Entrants

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

The number of entrants on Day 1b is now over 5,415 players. If we add to this number the 4,585 entrants from Day 1a, over 10,000 entries have been registered for this tournament.

According to WSOP's archives, this year's event has already set a new record for the Millionaire Maker and is also the largest $1,500 buy-in event in poker history.

This number will continue to grow as players still have until the end of Level 8 to enter or reenter.
