Dumont Can't Find The Fold
Level 6
: Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
2018 EPT Monte-Carlo Champion Nicolas Dumont opened from the hijack position and was called by the two players in the blinds.
On the flop 8♠A♦2♠, he continued with a bet of 1,300. Only Stephen Friedrich, the big blind, called him.
On the turn J♦, Dumont bet an additional 3,000, keeping 15,000 chips behind. Friedrich called once again.
On the river 2♦, Friedrich took the lead, betting a pile of 5,000 chips to force Dumont to go all-in. After a few seconds, Dumont couldn't find a fold and pushed his remaining chips. But when he saw Friedrich reveal 10♦8♦ for a flush, the Frenchman could only stand up and join the queue to reentry.
