John Monnette opened from under the gun and then called off for his remaining chips after Joao Vieira three-bet out of the big blind.

Vieira took one on the first draw while Monnette drew two. The second draw saw Vieira stand pat and Monnette take one with the same drawing pattern repeated on the final draw.

Viera tabled 9x8x6x5x4x while Monnette showed down 8x4x3x2x. Although he was very much drawing live, Monnette was unable to survive after peeling the 10x to send him out of the tournament in 16th place.

Mermelstein Takes From Pupillo

A-5 Triple Draw

Action was picked up in a three bet pot between Oscar Johansson in first position, Nick Pupillo in the cutoff, and Aaron Mermelstein on the button.

On the first draw every player drew two and action check around to Mermelstein who bet and both players called.

On the second draw, Johansson and Pupillo drew two while Mermelstein drew one. Action once more checked around to Mermelstein who bet and only Pupillo called and drew one on the final draw. Mermelstein drew the same.

Both players checked on the end which saw Pupillo turn over 6x6x5x4x2x for a pair of sixes and Mermelstein turned over Qx7x4x3x2x for a Queen and he took down the pot.

Joao Vieira opened from the cutoff and then called after John Monnette three-bet on the button.

Vieira took two on the first draw while Monnette opted for one. Action then checked to Monnette who bet and was called.

The second draw saw Vieira again take two with Monnette standing pat. Vieira checked and called after Monnette committed his last few chips to the pot.

Vieira took one more card on the final draw and Monnette declined to draw, showing down 7x6x3x2xAx. Vieira, meanwhile, peeled the Kx, handing Monnette a full double.

Ono Gets There Against Vieira

Tomomitsu Ono raised in the hijack and Vieira raised in the cutoff, which led to the betting getting capped between the two players.

Ono drew one and Vieira stayed pat which saw Ono check-call a bet from Vieira.

The exact same drawing and betting happened on the following draw.

After the final draw, Ono looked at his new card and led out, which had Vieira sighing as he looked at his opponent. After a little bit of time he put in the call and Ono said "wheel," before turning over 75432 for number one and he took a bite out of the chip leader.
