Negreanu Mucks Kings Face Up

Level 10 : Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu was in the small blind when action folded to him.

The Poker Hall of Famer and six-time WSOP bracelet winner looked at his hand and leaned forward to ask Tobias Schwecht, who was in the big blind, how much he had behind.

“About 19,200,” Schwecht replied.

“You might have me covered, but I’m going to raise anyway,” Negreanu said, as he made it 3,200 to go.

Schwecht called to bring the flop, where the dealer placed 3310 on the board. Negreanu led out with 3,000 and Schwecht called.

The turn showed 4. Negreanu bet 6,000 and Schwecht called, which drew a response.

“S***,” Negreanu said while watching the dealer pull Schwecht’s chips to the pot.

Negraneau’s reaction brought laughter from his tablemates. Well, except Schwecht, who appeared laser-focused on the hand. The river produced A, and Negreanu bet 5,500. Instead of calling this time, Schwecht moved all in.

“F***,” Negraneau said, sitting up in his chair before looking down at his remaining 5,500 in front of him.

After a few moments, Negraneau showed his hand to the player to his immediate right and then tossed KK face up into the muck.

Babbitt Building Up

Level 10 : Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

There were 16,000 chips in the middle on the flop of 1084 and the middle position player bet 15,000. Holly Babbitt in the cutoff opted to move all in for 32,700.

The player in middle position asked for a count, but couldn't bring themselves to make the call. The middle position folded and Babbitt took in the pot.

Gao Sends Opponent to Rail

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

A player in late position moved all in for his remaining 22,500.

He ran into Hejia Gao, and that was a problem for the all-in player when the cards were tabled.

Opponent: 86
Hejia Gao: AQx

The dealer fanned 10A10, giving Gao a commanding lead. The A appeared on the turn and had Gao’s opponent drawing dead. The river showed an inconsequential 4, as Gao’s collected the chips and a bounty.

Shammas on the Comeback

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

After losing the vast majority of his stack in the previous hand to a runner-runner flush, Joseph Shammas moved all in from the button for 3,800 and was called by four players.

The flop of AQ9 saw the cutoff moved all-in for 40,000 which got the other three players to fold.

Joseph Shammas: KJ
Cutoff: Q9

The cutoff flopped two pair, but Shammas had a gutshot which they hit on the 10 turn. The inconsequential 2 completed the board and Shammas increased their stack fivefold.
