The Chad & Jesse Poker Show Episode #8: Joey Ingram on the Future of Poker

A prolific poker podcaster, Ingram is known for his marathon emergency investigations into such controversial matters as the Mike Postle and Robbi Jade Lew cheating allegations. Ingram, who was in L.A. for the Hustler Casino Live $1,000,000 Cash Game, recently returned to Las Vegas and was at the 2023 WSOP for the first time when he sat down with the guys.

Two Pair for Hallett

Level 37 : Blinds 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante

Shannon Fahey raised 2,200,000 in the cutoff and Lonnie Hallett came along in the big blind.

Both players checked all the way down as the board came out Q1096K. Fahey showed 33 and Hallett dragged the pot with two pair as he showed 96.

Fahey Jams the Flop

Lonnie Hallett opened to 2,200,000 under the gun with A8 and Shannon Fahey three-bet to 5,500,000 on the button with AQ.

The blinds quickly folded and Hallett made the call.

When the dealer fanned a flop of JJ10, Hallett checked to Fahey and she announced all-in as she started to push her stack of about 12,200,000 across the line. Hallett wasted no time getting out of the way.

Baxter Takes it on the River

Level 37 : Blinds 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante

Dan Heimiller raised 2,200,000 on the button with 54 and Billy Baxter came along in the small blind with K10.

Both players checked to the river on the A827K board and Baxter fired out a bet of 3,000,000. Heimiller quickly folded and the dealer pushed the pot to Baxter.

The flop of J102 saw the crowd give an audible gasp as the pot that had initially looked to be a chop gave Fahey a flush draw. The turn of 4 secured the pot for Fahey before the 2 river came out and Eng shook his tablemates' hands as he left the tournament.

Baxter Doubles Through Hallett

Billy Baxter raised to 2,200,000 in the cutoff and on the button, Lonnie Hallett moved all in for 10,800,000 effective which saw action fold back to Baxter who counted out his chips and called.

The flop came out 1078 and Baxter's rail celebrated as the seven-time WSOP winner connected with his kicker on the flop. The board ran out 5A and Baxter remained alive as he doubled through the chip leader.

The action folded to Lonnie Hallett in the small blind and he opened to 2,400,000. Loren Cloninger was in the big blind and jammed for 6,100,000.

"I don't want to, but I have to," said Hallett as he made the call.

Clonigner was ahead with his ace-high and the J73 flop looked promising. The 8 hit the turn though, improving Hallett to a pair of eights to take the lead and Clonigner couldn't find an ace as the 10 rolled off on the river.
