"Dooley" The Victor in a Heads Up Duel

Level 10

Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo

The under the gun player limped as did another player in early position. Abdullah "Dooley" Al-Shanti potted to 2,800 and the under-the-gun player called to see a 8J6 flop.

The under-the-gun player checked to Al-Shanti who quickly potted again. Under the gun re-potted and Al-Shanti quickly pushed his chips forward to put himself all in and at risk headed to a runout.

Under The Gun: A752

With a lot of cards that would give his opponent the whole pot, Al-Shanti needed to dodge some bullets on the turn and river.

The runout came 8 and 6, missing everything for his opponent and allowing Al-Shanti to scoop the entire pot for a full double.

As he made it clear that he had gotten lucky to hold for the scoop, he told the table, "What can I say? I'm uncoachable!" which got a good laugh from his tablemates before he turned to his direct right to ask non other than Max Pescatori, "Would you coach me, bro?"

With a couple deep runs and six cashes so far this summer, it's safe to say that "Dooley" is having a blast at the 2023 World Series of Poker.
