Taylor Gaining Traction

Level 10 : Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Thomas Taylor
Thomas Taylor

Two players limped before Thomas Taylor checked his option in the big blind.

The dealer fanned a flop of AK8 and all three players checked to see the J turn.

Taylor and the under-the-gun limper checked once more and the cutoff put out a bet of 2,200. Only Taylor called.

The 4 hit the river and Taylor checked, followed by the cutoff doing the same. Taylor tabled A7 for top pair, which was good as he added to his stack.

Weston Pring opened to 5,000 in the cutoff and only Anil Kadimisetty made the call on the button.

The K102 flop hit the felt and Pring check-called a bet of 5,000.

The A hit the turn and both players quickly checked to see the 5 river. Both players checked once again.

Pring showed QQ but it was no good as Kadimisetty showed AJ, turning a pair of aces.

Big Pot With Aces For Margets

Level 14 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Leo Margets
Leo Margets

A player in the hijack position opened to 9,000, and everybody folded to 2021's WSOP bracelet winner Leo Margets in the big blind. She took a few seconds and raised to 32,000, and her opponent called.

On a J610 flop, she continued betting 27,000. Not enough to scare the hijack, who called once more.

Another Jack appeared on the turn J, where Margets moved all in. The hijack player called for his last 55,000 chips.

Leo Margets: AA
Opponent: 87

Margets just had to avoid a nine to claim the pot. But it was the 10 that hit the river, eliminating the hijack player and leaving Margets with 285,000 chips.
