Down to 2,700,000 chips, Pat Lyons moved all-in in from middle position. All the other players folded their hands, except for Richard Smith in the big blind who called.
Pat Lyons: A♣8♥
Richard Smith: A♠10♥
Quite unhappy to be at risk, Lyons prayed for the eight, but it didn't come on the board 5♣J♠4♠J♦6♦. Eliminated in 13th place, Lyons wins $21,052.
With only 9 players remaining, everybody is now seated on the feature table for the final table of this tournament. The plan is to eliminate one more player and then go on a dinner break.
After Richard Smith raised from under the gun, and John Ciccarelli called, Donna Stutts moved all in for 1,650,000. Both Smith and Ciccarelli called.
Stutts would have to wait for her fate to play out however, as Ciccarelli and Smith played on the side on a Q♥4♥6♣ flop. Ciccarelli bet 1,500,000 and Smith called.
Both checked the 6♠ turn and then Ciccarelli bet 2,000,000 on the 5♣ river. Finally it was Stutts' turn to reveal and she showed K♦K♥ for the triple up, to a rousing cheer from her rail. Ciccarelli turned over A♠Q♠ for the side pot, and Smith flashed K♠ and folded.
