Shakerchi Picks Off Foxen

Level 7 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Kristen Foxen and Talal Shakerchi were heads-up in the blinds on a board reading 9763. Foxen led out with a bet of 140,000 on the turn into a pot of around 180,000. Shakerchi instantly called and the K completed the board.

Foxen tossed in another bet of 325,000 on the river and Shakerchi was unwilling to give up his hand. Foxen turned over A5 for just ace-high while Shakerchi held 106 for a pair of sixes.

Kabrhel and Heath Clash in Three-Bet Pot

Level 7 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Ben Heath
Ben Heath

Martin Kabrhel raised to 45,000 from middle position and was called by Alex Foxen in late position. However, Ben Heath would squeeze to 180,000 from the button, forcing a fold from Foxen and a call from Kabrhel.

Heath would size down to 115,000 on his flop continuation bet after Kabrhel checked the A2K flop. Kabrhel made the call and the dealer burned and turned the J.

Once again Kabrhel check-called a bet from Heath, this time for 260,000. The river brought the fourth spade in the form of the 2 and both players checked.

Kabrhel showed down AQ for top pair aces, but Heath rolled over AJ for two pair, aces and jacks.

Level 7 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Martin Kabrhel raised it up in early position and Alex Kulev three-bet to 180,000 on the button. Kabrhel four-bet to 1,105,000, leaving just 5,000 chips behind. Kulev announced all in and Kabrhel eventually called off his last chip.

Level 7 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Chris Brewer raised it up from the hijack and Seth Davies three-bet to 200,000 out of the big blind which Brewer called. The flop came K82 and Davies continued with a bet of 100,000. Brewer called and the 3 landed on the turn.

Davies flicked in another bet of 200,000 on the turn and Brewer stuck around for the 5 on the river. Both players checked the river and Davies tabled 108 for a pair of eights which was good enough to win the pot.

Rast Gets an All-In Through; Mateos and Chen Collide in Big Pot

Level 8 : Blinds 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
James Chen
James Chen

Brian Rast moved all-in for his remaining 400,000 in chips after early and middle position calls from Phil Hellmuth and James Chen. Both would ultimately fold, giving Rast some much-needed chips.

Rast, Hellmuth and Chen would be involved in the next hand, as well, this time with the addition of Adrian Mateos. Mateos raised to 50,000 from early position and was called by Chen in middle position, Rast in late position and Hellmuth in the big blind.

Hellmuth check-folded to a bet of 65,000 from Mateos on a flop of 710A, but both Chen and Rast called.

Mateos continued applying pressure on the 2 in the form of 285,000 and was again called by Chen. Rast folded.

The rolls reversed on the A river, as it would be Chen betting 700,000, nearly enough to put Mateos all-in, after being checked to by Mateos. Mateos quickly folded.

Nick Petrangelo: 88
Adrian Mateos: AA
Justin Bonomo: JJ

Brian Rast
Brian Rast

Just Bonomo raised from late position and was called by Brian Rast in the big blind.

Rast check-raised all-in versus a flop bet of 40,000 from Bonomo on A710 for his remaining 245,000 and Bonomo made the call.

Brian Rast: Q10
Justin Bonomo: QJ

Rast was ahead on the flop and announced, "I got lucky," to which Bonomo responded, "not yet," on the J turn. The 6 river was no help to Rast and he would exit the tournament.
