Foxen Bombs the River

Level 4 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Kristen Foxen raised to 22,000 in early position and was called by Andrew Robl in the cutoff. The flop fell KQJ and Foxen checked to Robl who bet 40,000 and Foxen called.

The turn was the 9 and both players checked to the 10 on the river. Foxen made a large bet of 300,000 on the river and Robl instantly mucked his cards.

The final board read Q510810 in a hand between Brian Kim and Sean Winter, with Winter putting out a pot-sized river bet of 205,000 after Kim checked.

Kim would go on to use four of his remaining five time banks before ultimately deciding to make the fold.

Kornuth tabled 97 for a ten-high straight.

On the last hand before the break, Steven Veneziano opened to 23,000 from under the gun and was called by Chance Kornuth in the hijack and Koray Aldemir on the button. Jonathan Jaffe three-bet to 115,000 from the small blind and all three players called.

The flop came J64 and Jaffe continued with a bet of 135,000. Veneziano called, Kornuth stepped aside, and Aldemir also called. The turn was the 5 and Jaffe checked this time. Veneziano tossed in a bet of 135,000 and Aldemir called while Jaffe got out of the way.

The J paired the board on the river and Veneziano splashed in a bet of 550,000. Aldemir used one of his time banks and then pushed all of his chips into the middle, other than 1,000. Veneziano wasted little time before throwing his cards away and Aldemir stacked the pot well into the break.

Kornuth Eliminates Brewer

Level 5 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Chance Kornuth
Chance Kornuth

Chance Kornuth raised from early position and was three-bet by Chris Brewer from the big blind to 110,000. Kornuth responded by four-betting to 205,000 and Brewer moved all-in, with Kornuth making the call.

Chris Brewer: 1010
Chance Kornuth: AQ

It was a classic flip, but Kornuth would pull ahead immediately in the form of the A on the 7AK flop and would stay ahead on a runout of 5J, for a final board of 10AK5J, sending Brewer to the rail.
