Ponakovs Gets Away with a Big Bet

Aleksejs Ponakovs raised to 15,000 on the button and Chris Hunichen defended from the big blind. The flop came QQ10 and Hunichen check-called a bet of 10,000 from Ponakovs.

The turn brought the 6 and Hunichen checked again. Ponakovs sized up a large bet of 125,000 this time and Hunichen dumped his cards to the muck, accidentally flashing the 6.

Hunichen's Check-Raise Gets Through

Brian Kim opened to 18,000 from under the gun and was called by Chris Hunichen on his left. Espen Jorstad three-bet to 100,000 in the cutoff and both Kim and Hunichen called.

The flop came J106 and the action checked to Jorstad who continued with a bet of 80,000. Kim quickly folded but Hunichen sized up a check-raise to 395,000. Jorstad thought for a moment but opted to fling his cards to the muck.
