Eng Triples, Brill Doubles, Cark Exits

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Veronica Brill opened to 9,000 and was called by Haruki Arita, but then Matthew Eng moved all in for 45,000.

Brill and Arita both made the call and the three went to a flop of 1048, which saw Brill move all in for 76,000.

Arita went into the tank for a good while before deciding to let it go and the cards were tabled, with Eng at risk.

Matthew Eng: KK
Veronica Brill: 77

Eng was well ahead with his superior pair and the runout of AA was pure for him to secure the pot for the double-up.

The very next hand, Brill moved all in preflop for the 76,000 and was called by Jermaine Cark, who had slightly less.

Jermaine Cark: AK
Veronica Brill: AQ

Cark was in a great position to double up here through Brill, but the flop of QQ2 was not his friend as she flopped trip queens to take a big lead. The board completed with the 64 to seal Cark's fate and he was eliminated from the tournament.
