Shmidt Fold Leads to Baggiani Double
Tyler Schmidt had opened to 12,500 but then Valentin Oberhauser re-raised to 26,000 to his left. Then Camillo Baggiani decided this still wasn't enough and moved all in for around 65,000 and Schmidt went deep into the tank.
"Ughh, I'm gonna need a minute here boys, this is a tough spot," he groaned as he checked is cards again. "There's no way I can just fold this hand."
He then looked over and saw that Oberhauser had his covered significantly and this made him even more unsure of his decision.
"Ok, I fold," he finally said as he slid the cards into the muck as Oberhauser made the call to put Baggiani at risk.
"I folded two queens, I swear I folded pocket queens," Shmidt admitted as the cards were tabled.
Camillo Baggiani: 10♦10♣
Valentin Oberhauser: 6♣6♦
"ARE YOU SERIOUS!?" Schmidt nearly lost it as the players revealed inferior pairs.
The board ran out A♣4♥K♦K♠4♣ for Baggiani's tens to hold for the double-up against Oberhauser.
"It was a tough spot, man, its hard to call with someone behind," Baggiani tried to console Schmidt, who just kept shaking his head and muttering, "Wow, wow, wow".
