Wojcik Picks Up Aces In a Rollercoaster of a Hand
The PokerNews team heard the yells from an outer table and ran over to catch the action as it ended. The table relayed the hand.
A player from early position announced "I am not the dab man," in an inside joke only that table was in on before moving all in for 42,000. A player in the cutoff made the call for their last roughly 30,000 and it folded around to Daniel Wojcik in the small blind who called with a slightly bigger stack to put both players at risk.
Cutoff: 8♥8♠
Early Position: A♣Q♣
Daniel Wojcik: A♦A♥
When the flop came 8♣3♦2♦, it was the eights for the cutoff that hit the miracle card to turn the tables on the hand. The turn fell the 3♠ and Wojcik would need the one last ace to win the hand and eliminate his opponents. The table erupted in shock as the A♠ peeled off on the river to give Wojcik the one out he needed and send both players to the rail in dramatic fashion.
