Sarle Hits the Turn to Dent Stephan's Stack
Limit Hold'em
Christopher Stephan raised from the cutoff before Dominick Sarle three-bet in the small blind. Stephan called before the big blind had a chance to act, and the big blind came along as they went three-handed to the flop.
The dealer turned over 8♣3♣5♠ and Sarle led out with a bet. Both players called to the J♣ turn, where Sarle bet again and both called once more.
The river came the Q♠ and Sarle bet. The big blind called, but Stephan raised this time. Sarle came back with a reraise and the big blind got out of the way, but Stephan called.
Sarle turned over K♣10♣ for the turned flush. "Wait, wait," Stephan said as he held onto his cards for a few seconds before releasing them.
"When you lose with a set you have to double check," Stephan added.
