Mermelstein Wins a Wild One

Level 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Aaron Mermelstein
Aaron Mermelstein

The action started with Chris Brewer opening in early position to 15,000. Aaron Mermelstein then called on the button before Christoph Vogelsang in the small blind put out enough chips to put all remaining players all in.

Out of nowhere, WPT champion, Eliot Hudon went all in from the big blind for less.

Brewer got out of the way and action was back on Mermelstein from the button. He thought through his options but it seemed that the bounties were too enticing as he flicked in a call.

The cards hit their backs.

Eliot Hudon: AJ
Aaron Mermelstein: 44
Christoph Vogelsang: A9

The board ran out 37K810 and Mermelstein scored the knockout, Hudon's bounty, and a pile of chips from Vogelsang.
