Let There Be An Ocean
On a flop reading 9♥K♦A♦, Daniel Negreanu called a small bet from Sultan Khair, who made mention of the cheap price. The turn brought the J♠ and again, Khair sized down and bet 40,000. Negreanu made the call and they saw the 6♥ on the river. This time, Khair bet 80,000, making mention of what a good price Negreanu was being given to call.
Negreanu, before folding, went on to say, "I would pay $100,000 [cash] to see one more card... I'm serious. I had the royal flush draw!" and he showed the J♦10♦ to prove it, mucking his hand. In the process he also revealed a 9x which prompted Khair to open his hand to reveal he only had an ace for top pair on the river. "Agh, I wasn't going to call you with jacks and nines..." said Negreanu.
Khair went on to say he would have happily taken the $100,000 to see a sixth card on the board, colloquially known as the ocean.
