Dhar Wins Battle with Anderson

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

A player limped in early position and Calvin Anderson raised to 3,000 in the cutoff. Rajendara Dhar called in the small blind as did the limper.

On the AK4 flop, the action checked to Anderson who continued for 6,000. Dhar put in a check-raised to 22,000 and that was enough to drag the pot.

The following hand, Anderson opened to 2,000 in the hijack, and Dhar three-bet to 7,200 on the button. The action folded back around to Anderson and he made the call.

The dealer fanned a flop of J108 and Anderson check-raised the 10,000 bet to 23,500. Dhar reraised it all and Anderson snap-called his stack of about 65,000.

Calvin Anderson: Q952
Rajendara Dhar: AQ109

Both players flopped the straight but the K turn improved Dhar to a larger straight and the Q river sealed the fate of Anderson as he hit the rail.
