Day 1b of Event #3: $1,000 Mystery Millions at the 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP) at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas attracted 2,957 runners, which along with Day 1a’s 2,023, brought the total field up to 4,980 entries with two flights still to go.
After 22 levels of play, 146 players had chips requiring bagging and tagging. Shaun Davis bagged the chip lead with 2,475,000.
Tal Avivi (2,380,000) and Joseph Dornish (2,250,000) were the only other players finishing Day 1b with more than two million chips, although Leo Soma (1,805,000), Daniyal Gheba (1,800,000), and Jon Gisler (1,760,000) can also be very pleased with the start they've made in this event.

Martin Jacobson, Andrew Moreno, and Benny Glaser also made it through from Day 1b.
Jacobson, who won the WSOP Main Event in 2014, soared up the chip counts during Level 17. He got his stack into the middle of the table with pocket kings against two players, one who held pocket tens and the other aces. A king on the river allowed Jacobson to score a double knockout and chip up to over 800,000.
Unfortunately, not everyone was so fortunate. Among those to bust on Day 1b were Jesse Sylvia, Ryan Depaulo, Quincy Borland, Samuel Ju, Rittie Chuaprasert, and Noel Eicher just to name a few. Those players have the opportunity to buy into the upcoming flights.
Day 1c of the Mystery Millions kicks off at 10:00 a.m. on June 2, while Day 1d will take place at the same time on June 3. The surviving players from all Day 1 flights then return for Day 2 action on June 4, which is when the mystery bounties come into play, including at least one worth a cool $1,000,000.
