Ausmus Chips Away at Arends

Jans Arends opened to 500,000 in the hijack with A5 and Jeremy Ausmus defended from the big blind with KQ. The flop fell K42 and Ausmus checked to Arends who continued with a bet of 350,000. Ausmus check-raised to 875,000 with top pair and Arends called with his straight draw.

The turn brought the 6 and Ausmus led out with a bet of 1,300,000. Arends was forced to let his hand go and Ausmus raked in a pot from the chip leader.
