Rafael Concepcion

Takashi Ogura: 5x2x/7x8x2x4x/3x
Rafael Concepcion: 3xJx/6x7x4x3x/7x

After fighting all day to keep alive, with several key double-ups, Concepcion made one last stand. By the time the last of his chips went in he appeared to be way behind, and when Ogura turned over his three from underneath he realized he was actually drawing dead.

But his tenaciousness earned Concepcion a few deserved rungs up the pay ladder.

Mickey Doft: 2xAx/4xQx7x9x/8x
Dzmitry Urbanovich: 6x4x/3xAx8x10x/6x

The two short stacks decided to do battle, raising and reraising until Urbanovich was all in for 250,000 with Doft having him covered by 5,000.

Doft was unable to draw the three, five, or six he needed on the end to beat Urbanovich. When the chips were counted, Doft had one 5,000 chip remaining.

Mickey Doft: 3x9x/5xJxQxAx/7x
