Bonomo Puts Kim to the Test
Justin Bonomo opened to 30,000 from middle position and Brian Kim made the call from the big blind.
Kim check-called a 30,000 bet from Bonomo on the A♠5♣8♥ flop.
The turn came the 2♣ and Kim checked again. This time Bonomo fired for 175,000, slightly more than what was in the pot. Kim made the call.
The river came the 7♦ and Bonomo used one time extension chip before pushing forward a full rack of red 5,000 chips and a stack of green 25,000 chips. The bet was nearly two times what was in the pot already and enough to put Kim all in for his remaining 775,000.
Kim went deep into the tank facing the overbet, using all of his time extension chips to consider his options. After just over three minutes of consideration he slid his cards into the muck and Bonomo received a sizable pot without having to go to showdown.
