Lorenz Shows the Dry Ace
Level 17
: 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
The under-the-gun player raised to 18,000 before Hyndi Khomutetsky made the call and Darryl Lorenz three-bet to 50,000 from the small blind. The under-the-gun player called and Khomutetsky walked away from the table as she forfeited her hand.
The dealer fanned a flop of 9♦3♦2♦ and Lorenz continued for 40,000 which was enough to earn the pot.
"Got the ace of diamonds anyway," Said Lorenz as he tabled A♦A♠4♠3♥.
Lorenz finished in 29th place in the 2021 World Series of Poker $1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha, and is looking to beat that this year as he's building a healthy stack approaching the end of Day 1.
