Li Triples Up

Level 30 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 0 ante

Danny Tang opened from under the gun and was called by Michael Rodrigues on the button. Yingui Li then three-bet all in for 200,000 out of the small blind, receiving calls from both of his opponents.

All three players took one card on the first draw after which Tang and Rodrigues checked.

The second draw saw the same drawing pattern repeated with Tang checking once again before folding after Rodrigues bet.

On the final draw, Li and Rodrigues each took one card. Rodrigues turned over 43A, significantly ahead of the 62A of Li. After peeling his fourth card, Rodrigues was left with the three card hand, needing Li not to pick up a club to score the pot and elimination. Fortunately for Li, his last card was the 5, handing him a critical triple up with two other short stacks at the table.
