Wolfe Plays the Hero

Kelly Wolfe opened the action under the gun to 3,000. Action folded all the way to the blinds who both made the call. The players were off to a flop three ways.

The 5♣2♠K♣ flop landed and the small blind checked. The big blind only waited a moment before going all in for 14,000 chips. Wolfe made the call and so did the small blind.

The 10♠ rolled off on the turn and the small blind took the initiative and led out for 20,000. Wolfe called pretty quickly and the two remaining players went to a river with the third all in and at risk.

The 5♦ river hit the felt and the small blind went into the tank for about a minute before putting out a bet of 25,000.

Wolfe seemed to have a tough decision on his hands but eventually put in the money.

The small blind shook his head and tabled A♣6♣ for a missed flush and Ace high. The big blind, who was all in, turned over J♣8♣ for another missed flush and Wolfe tabled K♥J♠ for just top pair.

After the great river call, Wolfe dragged a nice pot that gave him tons of life in this tournament.
