Daniels Wins Battle of the Blinds

Action folded all the way to Mike Daniels in the small blind who flicked in a call. The big blind then raised to 400. Daniels thought for only a moment before making the call.

The 8♠5♠5♦ hit the felt and Daniels checked it over to the big blind who put out a bet of 400. Daniels took his time and then opted to put in the check-raise to 1,400. The big blind made the call and they were off to a turn.

The 7♣ was burned and turned and Daniels now led for 2,000. Once again the big blind made the call.

The 3♦ landed on the river and Daniels bet once more to the tune of 5,000. This time the big blind thought for only a moment before making the fold.

Daniels won a nice pot early to gain some momentum with lots of tournament left to play.
