Daniel Barriocanal in the small blind-eyed up the short stack of John Monnette in the big and decided to apply maximum pressure putting him to the test for his tournament life. Monnette woke up with a monster and called off Barriocanal's shove. The cards were tabled.

Herzali Extends Chip Lead

Sarah Herzali raised from middle position to 500,000 and Nikolaos Angelou called in the big blind.

The board came 68Q and both players checked through to the 4 on the turn.

The next street followed the same line and both players arrived at the Q on the river. Angelou checked one more time and Herzali bet out for 1,000,000 prompting a swift fold from Angelou. This pot extended her chip lead and her large rail continued to cheer her on.

Kevin Choi and Nikolaos Angelou wound up in a big preflop conformation getting both stacks in the middle as Choi ran his pocket jacks into the ace-king of Angelou. An ace on the turn left Choi so short that he was forced all in by the big blind the very next hand.

Nikolaos Angelou opened from the button to 200,000 and Daniel Barriocanal in the small blind called putting Choi at risk.

Both players checked the hand through to the river as the full board read Q58710. Angelou tabled A8 beating both Barriocanal and Choi. Choi was sent to the rail in 8th place.
