Nakanishi Doubles Through Sichelstiel, Then Sichelstiel Finds a Double

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Shota Nakanishi was all in and at risk against Robert Sichelstiel on a board of {4-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}.

Robert Sichelstiel: {7-}{5-}
Shota Nakanishi: {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}

Nakanishi had a set against the top pair and open-ended straight draw of Sichelstiel. The board ran out {a-Spades}{5-Spades} for Nakanishi to stay ahead, leaving Sichelstiel with crumbs.

A few hands later, Sichelstiel managed to double when he moved all in with {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs} against an opponent's {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}.

"A classic race," the dealer said.

Sichelstiel stood from his seat before the flop came {k-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{2-Spades} to give Sichelstiel a big lead with a pair of kings and the board finished out {3-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} to earn him the small double.

"Where are you going? I still owed you one," said the dealer.

"I think you're way behind!" Sichelstiel replied to get laughs from around the table.
