Superstars That Fell Short of a Cash

Some of poker's biggest names joined the online action. Many of the game's most popular stars were unable to make deep runs. The likes of Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth, Scott Seiver, Tony Dunst, Chris Brewer, Alex Foxen, Phil Galfond, Greg Merson, Jason Koon, and Phil Ivey were unable to make the cash.

Speranza's Run to the Bracelet

Speranza seemed to pick up big hands at the perfect times to make a push to the final table. In the hand that busted Corey "Corgasm" Paggeot in 16th place, Speranza found aces to propel him to nearly a million chips, a stack that would carry him into the final table as one of the leaders.

Once Speranza was heads up with Paul "rungood27" Scaturro, he took the lead and never looked back. In the final two hands of the night, Speranza picked up pocket queens to finish off what remained of Scaturro's stack and seal the victory.

Speranza also placed 268th in the Main Event this year for $46,800. With over $4,500,000 in live earnings, according to Hendon Mob, Speranza earned himself his maiden prestigious gold bracelet in one of the final bracelet events at this World Series of Poker at Bally's and Paris Las Vegas.

A big congratulations to Gianluca "InMyHouse" Speranza for winning [Online] Event #12: $5,300 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller Freezeout Encore, taking home $324,625, and capturing his maiden gold bracelet.
