David "Arikato" Mzareulov Flops Straight To Double

Level 8 : 300/600, 0 ante

David "Arikato" Mzareulov limped from the cutoff, as did Gionni "COLDWARKID" Demers on the button and Alexander "Yenmaster" Yen in the small blind. Qinghai "011POKERDR" Pan checked his option out of the big blind to send action four-way to the flop.

Yen led out for 1,200 on a flop of {8-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{j-Clubs}. That was enough to get Pan to fold but Mzareulov raised to 4,800. Demers released his hand to send the action back to Yen, who called.

Not discouraged by the high level of action on the flop, Yen fired off another bet on the {3-Diamonds} turn, this time sizing up to a pot sized 12,000. Mzareulov promptly shoved for 11,178 to put himself at risk.

David Mzareulov: {a-Spades}{9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Alexander Yen: {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}

Mzareulov had flopped the nut straight while Yen had made the lower straight. Yen did pick up a flush draw on the turn to keep him drawing live to the river. That river was a board pairing {3-Clubs}, keeping Mzareulov ahead and doubling him up.
