Margolin Gets it All

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Timur Margolin
Timur Margolin

Action started on the turn with a large heads-up pot brewing. Timur Margolin saw a board of {j-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and bet 56,000 into the pot of about 75,000. His opponent on the big blind made the call.

The river fell the {j-Spades}, pairing the top card and also bringing in the front-door flush draw. The big blind led out for 45,000.

After confirming his opponent's stack, Margolin moved all in, having his opponent well covered, for about 200,000 effective. His opponent called after some thought.

Margolin showed {3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} for bottom boat, his opponent showed {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}.

"How I got these chips? I make full houses," said Margolin as he raked the pot.

Baumann Felts Opponent

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Gaelle Baumann
Gaelle Baumann

A player opened to 7,000 from under the gun and was called by Gaelle Baumann out of the small blind as well as the big blind.

Action checked to the preflop raiser after the {3-Clubs}{7-Spades}{a-Spades} flop and he continued for 10,000. Baumann called and the big blind, undeterred by the action ahead of him, raised to 31,000. The under the gun player responded by moving all in for 123,500. Baumann thought for a short while before re-jamming with the covering stack, prompting the big blind to lay his hand down.

Under the Gun Player: {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Gaelle Baumann: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

Baumann was way ahead with her flopped set and sealed the deal on the {10-Spades} turn prior to the meaningless {3-Hearts} river to send her stack shooting up the chip counts.

Hometown Hero Smith Makes Hero Call To Surge Up Leaderboard

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Chris Smith
Chris Smith

Chris Smith from San Diego opened to 6,500 from under the gun and Austin Yoo to his left three-bet up to 17,000.

The action folded back to Smith and he called to see the {q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} spread. Smith check-called 11,000 and the turn brought the {k-Spades}. Smith check-called again, this time 36,000 from Yoo, and the river brought the {10-Diamonds}.

Smith checked a third time and Yoo shoved for 147,000. Smith went deep into the tank, with the bet representing most of his remaining stack. After about two minutes, he called.

Yoo turned over {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} a pair of tens with the ace of diamonds, blocking the nut flush. Smith rolled over {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for just the seven-high flush, but it was good to scoop a massive pot as Yoo busted.

D'Ambrosio and Hui Headed to the TV Table; "Kenny Snake" Deals Beat With Quads

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Jimmy D'Ambrosio
Jimmy D'Ambrosio

The table with Jimmy D'Ambrosio and Loni Hui is headed to one of the featured tables. Austin Apicella also brings a big stack from that table.

D'Ambrosios' stack took a couple of recent hits in preflop all in scenarios after peaking at 700,000.

A few minutes ago he had a Kenny "Snake" Kerim at risk in a dominating position.

Kenny Kerim: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Jimmy D'Ambrosio: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

Kerim drilled the {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{k-Spades} flop for quad tens and the {6-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} completed the board as he doubled.

D'Ambrosio also recounted he had another player at risk preflop with pocket queens against ace-king. A king hit the river and D'Ambrosio took another light hit.

He will be under the lights for the next couple of hours, where his personality is sure to shine. D'Ambrosio was also receiving text messages from his friend Jamie Gold, the 2006 world champ.

"He always told me I could win this thing if I took poker seriously," said D'Ambrosio.

Abernathy Busts in Brutal Fashion

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Samantha Abernathy
Samantha Abernathy

Samantha Abernathy opened to 5,500 before Mike Gao made it 22,000. The 888poker ambassador then moved all in for around 110,000 and was snap-called.

Samantha Abernathy: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Mike Gao: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

Both players had cowboys and it was very likely that each player would take back their stacks. However, the {q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop gave Gao some backdoor flush possibilities. The {4-Diamonds} turn gave Gao outs to scoop and the {9-Diamonds} river gave him a flush as well as the elimination.

Mike Matusow
Mike Matusow

With about 14,500 in the pot on the {4-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop, Ari Shin checked and Mike "The Mouth" Matusow bet 3,500.

Shin raised it up to 8,000 and Matusow quickly called.

The turn brought the {a-Diamonds} and Shin sized up to 18,000, "The Mouth" called again.

On the {j-Diamonds} river, Shin took his time before firing 45,000 more.

The four-time bracelet winner went deep into the tank. He spent nearly five minutes in the blender in quiet thought. He eventually laid it down and Shin dragged the pot without showdown.

Muhammad Abdel-Rahim
Muhammad Abdel-Rahim

Action was picked up on the turn as the board read {k-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{7-Hearts}. From the small blind, Muhammad Abdel Rahim bet 27,000. Jonathan Roy folded from the big blind. Greg Himmelbrand was in early position and raised to 80,000. Abdel Rahim called.

The river was the {j-Clubs}. Abdel Rahim waited a few seconds before he place a full stack of 25,000 green chips forward to force Himmelbrand all in who snap-called.

Abdel Rahim tabled the {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for the rivered nut flush. Himmelbrand got up in hurry, turning over the {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and rushed out of the room as he was gone just like that and Andel Rahim continued his hot form from last night.

Kevin Rabichow raised in the small blind, George Holmes three-bet out of the big blind and Rabichow called.

The flop came {6-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}. Holmes bet 16,000 and Rabichow check-jammed for about 81,000. Holmes went into the tank and counted out the call in his stack while considering it.

After about two minutes of seemingly being right on the fence, Holmes folded the {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} face up. Another player at the table asked Rabichow to show also, "It's too early for that" responded Rabichow with a smile as he collected the chips.
