Soto Scores Massive Pot

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante
Christian Soto
Christian Soto

The action was relayed by the table after the fact. The cutoff opened to 800 and popular host of the "Only Friends" poker podcast Christian Soto three-bet to 2,500. It folded to the big blind who four-bet to 6,000 and only Soto made the call.

On the flop of {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} the big blind led for 7,800 and Soto raised to 15,000. The big blind player elected on a shove for roughly 40,000 and Soto quickly called.

Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Christian Soto: {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

Soto flopped the world with trip nines and had his opponent drawing almost dead. The turn came the {9-Hearts} sealing the deal with quad nines and the inconsequential {4-Spades} hit the river. Soto is off to a great start with nearly a six-figure stack in only level two.

Spragg's Spidey Sense Goes Off Correctly

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante
Marle Spragg
Marle Spragg

Action was joined on the turn as the board read {a-Spades}{2-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}. From the button, Marle Spragg bet 4,000 into a pot of around 7,000. Stephen Benkovic raised it up to 11,000 from the small blind.

Spragg took a few seconds but folded the {a-Clubs} face up fairly quickly. Benkovic was surprised and showed her that she had correctly sussed it out as he showed the {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} to get the chips, although probably wishing the pot had been a bit bigger.

Scotter Clark

Scotter Clark, dressed as a pirate, opened the action to 800 from middle position. The cutoff called and Alexandre Servies came along from the big blind.

The flop came {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and Servies checked. Clark bet out 1,000 and only Servies made the call. On the {6-Diamonds} turn both players checked their option.

The river came the {9-Clubs} and again both checked. Clark rolled over {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} for flopped middle pair and Servies mucked sending the loot to Clark the pirate.

Tice Freerolls England

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante
Kyna England
Kyna England

Landon Tice raised to 800 from early position, three players called, including Kyna England on the button and the player in the big blind.

The flop came out {3-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{6-Spades}. All four players checked the street.

A {9-Spades} hit the turn. What action was lacking on the flop was made up for on the turn. The player in the big blind bet 2,000. Tice thought for a bit before raising to 6,000. Action folded to England on the button who three-bet the flop to 16,000.

The big blind folded, but Tice moved all in for a bit more, around 21,000.

"Good luck," said England, as she moved her chips across the line.

Landon Tice: {8-Spades}{7-Spades}
Kyna England: {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

England went to pull her chips back seeing they both had a straight. "Oh, [expletive]," realizing Tice had the spades redraw.

She survived the snafu when a red card hit the river and both players chopped the pot.

Calvin Anderson
Calvin Anderson

Four players saw a flop of {7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades} and the action checked to Calvin Anderson in the cutoff who put out a bet of 1,600. Brendan Shiller called on the button before the small blind check-raised all in for 11,500. Anderson made the call and Shiller quickly mucked.

Small Blind: {9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
Calvin Anderson: {10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

The small blind was in the lead with a pair of sevens until the {10-Clubs} hit the turn, pairing Anderson's ten. The {10-Hearts} river further improved him to trip tens as his opponent left the table.
