Welch Unafraid

Level 32 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Robert Welch
Robert Welch

Robert Welch has already put his entire stack on the line several times during the early stages of today's play and has shown no signs of slowing down. Action folded to Welch in the small blind and he limped. Michael Duek checked his option out of the big blind to send the two players heads-up to the flop.

Welch led out for 425,000 on the {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}{8-Spades} flop and Duek made the call.

On the {a-Clubs} turn Welch slowed down, checking to Duek who fired off 800,000. Welch was not going anywhere just yet and called.

The {a-Spades} river double paired the board and, after a moments thought, Welch moved all in. Even before the TV crew could get into place to document the proceedings Duek released his hand to keep Welch, who has enjoyed a productive start to the day, chipping up.
