Allen Doubles Just in Time

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Jeffrey Farnes opened to 275,000 from under the gun and Jack Allen was on the short stack in the cutoff. With the clock reading 81 players remaining, Allen went into the tank, hoping for a pay jump. He eventually slid out a raise to 850,000, leaving just 5,000 chips behind. Farnes called and they headed to a flop of {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{4-Clubs}.

Farnes flicked in a chip after the flop and Allen waited for another player to be eliminated before calling. Farnes showed {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and needed to hit against the {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} of Allen. The board ran out {3-Spades}, {3-Diamonds} and Allen held on to double up.
