Elliot Smith opened to 16,000 from under the gun and was called by Andrew Watson on his direct left. Day 1b chip leader Patrick Hagenlocher then made it 51,000 from middle position, only Watson called.

Watson check-called bets of 76,000 and 200,000 for the final board to read {7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{9-Clubs}.

Watson checked again and Hagenlocher fired for 340,000. Watson went deep into the tank and the hand had long gone into the break. After around 4 minutes, Watson finally called.

"Good call," said Hagenlocher, as he tabled his {a-Spades}{q-Spades} for just ace high. Watson turned over his {7-Hearts}{7-Spades} and scooped in the mammoth-sized pot to leave his opponent short.
