Puetz a Thorn in Deeb's Side

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Action started on the turn with about 6,000 in the pot. Shaun Deeb, in early position, looked at the board of {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{j-Clubs} and checked it to Christopher Puetz in middle position. Puetz bet 3,800 and Deeb check-called.

The river brought the {2-Hearts} and Deeb checked once more. Puetz bet 5,000 and Deeb went into the tank. Staring at and talking to his opponent, Puetz couldn't help but break a smile.

Deeb eventually put in the call and Puetz had the goods, he showed {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts} to take down the pot with a flush.

The very next hand, Deeb raised to 1,400 from under the gun. The player on his left called before Puetz three-bet to 5,600. Deeb called and the in-between player got out of the way.

The dealer spread the {4-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} on the flop. Deeb check-called a flop bet of 4,500 from Puetz.

On the {q-Spades} turn, Deeb checked and Puetz fired another bet. Deeb let his cards go, and more chips went Puetz' way.

"Show the queen of clubs one time," said Deeb.

Puetz didn't, but he added to his already large stack.
