Clarke Scores Early Knockout

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Action started when Patrick Clarke opened the cutoff to 600. The small blind three-bet to 3,800 and Michael Stokey elected to four-bet from the big blind to 12,000. Clarke decided on a five-bet to 30,000 and only Stokey made the call.

The flop came {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Stokey quickly moved all in for his last 16,400. Clarke snap-called and the cards were rolled over.

Patrick Clarke: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Michael Stokey: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}

Stokey ran into the top set of Clarke and when the board ran out {2-Clubs} turn {j-Spades} river, Clarke was awarded the knockout and an early big stack.
