DiVella Tank-Calls His Way to a Double

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Picking up the action on a flop of {5-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{7-Spades}, Nick DiVella was facing an all-in shove for his last 45,000 from the player in the small blind.

DiVella eventually called as Ian Davis got out of the way. The small blind showed {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}, while DiVella was ahead with {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}.

DiVella's kings held up as the board ran out {5-Hearts}{10-Clubs}, earning him more than a full double up.

According to the table, the small blind had re-raised to 15,800 before the flop and DiVella tanked for several minutes before calling, as did Davis. The small blind then open-shoved on the flop.

After the hand, DiVella apologized to the table for taking so long as they offered support, saying they perfectly understood the situation.
